How To Get Involved
We are operated by a team of passionate volunteers that make the gears spin at the Orlando Gayming League. Here are some of the different volunteer opportunities we have available for you to help OGL level up in the Orlando community.

Anyone can volunteer and we are always looking for help at various types of events. Volunteers can help us with:

Committee Member
Committee Members are trusted leaders in their specialized role. They will collaborate with the board members assigned to their Committees on their specific initiatives.

Events Committee
The Events Committee brings our community to life by planning and organizing meetups and experiences that are both fun and meaningful. From brainstorming fresh themes to coordinating logistics, this team ensures our events stay dynamic, inclusive, and uniquely OGL. If you’re creative, detail-oriented, and love crafting unforgettable moments, this is your stage.
Marketing Committee
The Marketing Committee is the voice and visual identity of OGL. This team leads social media engagement, designs eye-catching graphics and promotional materials, manages our merch store, and crafts everything from event forms to email campaigns. If you’re passionate about storytelling, design, or digital strategy, this is your chance to amplify our message and grow the OGL community.
Budget Committee
The Budget Committee keeps OGL’s finances on point, ensuring we can continue creating awesome events and initiatives for our community. This team manages budgets, tracks expenses, and helps allocate resources responsibly to support our mission. If you’re into numbers, planning, or just love making every dollar count, this is your opportunity to make a big impact behind the scenes.
Podcast Committee
The Podcast Committee brings OGL’s voice to life—literally. From planning episode topics to recording, editing, and promoting each show, this team creates content that entertains, informs, and connects our community. Whether you’re into hosting, sound engineering, storytelling, or marketing, there’s a mic waiting for you. Help us amplify LGBTQ+ voices and share the stories that matter.
Election Committee
The Election Committee ensures fairness, transparency, and integrity in all OGL leadership elections. This team is responsible for organizing nomination processes, verifying candidate eligibility, managing voting logistics, and overseeing election communications. If you value accountability, structure, and upholding democratic principles within the community, this is your time to lead from behind the scenes.
Advisory Committee
The Advisory Committee offers guidance and strategic insight to help steer OGL toward its long-term goals. Made up of experienced leaders and dedicated community members, this team provides valuable perspectives on organizational growth, community impact, and best practices. OGL Board Members serve as the organization’s leadership core, guiding its vision, values, and strategic direction. This team oversees governance, ensures accountability, and supports all committees in achieving their goals. Board Members are stewards of OGL’s mission—championing inclusivity, fostering community, and making key decisions that shape our future. Officers
CEO & Chairman of the Board
The CEO & Chairman of the Board is the visionary leader at the helm of OGL, responsible for driving the organization’s mission, overseeing strategic initiatives, and representing the League within the broader community. This role provides leadership to the Board, ensures alignment across all committees, and fosters a culture of inclusivity, innovation, and accountability. As the public face and guiding force of OGL, the CEO champions growth, partnerships, and long-term impact for LGBTQ+ gamers and allies in Orlando and beyond.
President
The President plays a key executive role in leading the day-to-day operations of OGL and supporting the execution of its mission. Working closely with the CEO and Board, the President helps coordinate committee efforts, manage organizational initiatives, and ensure seamless collaboration across all areas of the League. This role blends leadership with hands-on involvement—perfect for someone passionate about fostering community, elevating LGBTQ+ voices, and keeping OGL running smoothly and effectively.
Vice-President
The Vice President serves as a vital partner to the President, helping lead OGL’s operations and ensuring the organization runs efficiently and effectively. This role provides leadership across committees, supports strategic initiatives, and steps in when the President is unavailable. As a connector and collaborator, the Vice President helps keep the team aligned, energized, and focused on OGL’s mission to build an inclusive and empowered gayming community.
Treasurer
The Treasurer is the financial steward of OGL, responsible for managing the organization’s budget, overseeing income and expenses, and ensuring fiscal transparency and accountability. This role maintains financial records, prepares reports, and collaborates with the Budget Committee to support strategic planning and responsible growth. If you have a head for numbers and a heart for community, the Treasurer plays a critical role in sustaining OGL’s mission and impact.
Secretary
The Secretary is the organizational heartbeat of OGL, ensuring that communication, documentation, and records are accurate, accessible, and well-managed. This role is responsible for taking meeting minutes, maintaining official documents, managing internal communications, and supporting the smooth operation of the Board and committees. If you’re detail-oriented, organized, and passionate about keeping teams connected and informed, this role is essential to OGL’s success.
Board of Directors
The Board of Directors provides governance, oversight, and strategic direction for OGL. As stewards of the organization’s mission and values, Board Members help guide key decisions, support long-term planning, and ensure accountability across all operations. Directors collaborate with leadership, contribute their expertise, and act as ambassadors for the community.
